5th Edition of MENA Digital Awards 2018 to honour excellence in the use of digital technology

Dubai, UAE, November xx, 2018: The fifth edition of MENA Digital Awards (MDA) will be held on 12 th December, 2018, (Chez Charles Restaurant, Dubai Design District) to recognise excellence in digital innovation and media in the region. The Awards will honour exceptional work in seven groups: Performance, Mobile, Social Media, Integrated, Special, Digital Assets and Digital by Sector.

Najla Mazboudi, founder of MENA Digital Awards, said: “Since our inception in 2014, we have benchmarked the best in digital innovation and media in the region, with the goal of further promoting creativity and digital best practices adoption. As the pioneer in recognising digital media approaches, the Awards play a central role in supporting the digital transformation vision of the region, especially with digital technologies changing every aspect of our lives.”

Evaluated by an expert jury, comprising digital and media experts from around the world, and based on international standards, the MDA ensures that only the best work is endorsed. Participation is open to all digital players from clients to agencies to producers. Any entity with a valid digital work that aligns with the submission requirements can apply for the awards at  www.menadigitalawards.com

The entries will be evaluated by the judges based on the entry form and the case study video/presentation submitted.

Each entry has four sections: strategy, creativity/innovation, execution and results. The weightage for each section is different based on the group. More details are available on the website. Entries are open for Best Search Marketing Campaign, Best Use of Data, Best Performance Campaign and Best Use of Cross-Platform Digital Content in the ‘Performance’ Group.

In the Mobile Group, entries are open for Best Application (Mobile/Tablet), Best Use of Mobile, and Best Use of Mobile Commerce, while in the Social Media Group, entries are open for Best Use of Social Media (in three categories – small, medium and big budget), Best Use of Video, and Best Viral Campaign.

In the Integrated Group, entries are open for Best Integrated Digital and Best Integrated Media Campaigns, while in the Special Group, submissions can be made for Digital PR, Digital Cause Marketing and Digital Activation. In Digital Assets Group, entries are invited for Best Web Platform, Best Online Banner, Best Digital Point of Sales, Best Mobile App, Best Facebook App, Best Game App, and Best Use of Technology.

For Best Use of Digital by Sector, entries are invited from the following sectors: Automotive, Financial & Banking, FMCG, Retail, Travel, sport & entertainment, Technology/telecommunications, Charity, NGO or NFP, Healthcare and Media.

One Grand Prix will be presented at MENA Digital Awards for the highest scoring gold winning entry regardless of category. IN addition, the Agency of the Year and Network of the Year awards will also be presented.

MDA invites all digital players to become a part of the exciting awards programme, by submitting any
form of technical and creative digital work across all communication disciplines.
